Ludlum used to be one of my favorite authors, alongside Alistair Maclean and Craig Thomas, back in the 1980s. Then his books, like Stephen King's, all began to share a "sameness" with each other. I rediscovered him in the late 1990s and was starting to enjoy his work again when he died. I'm kind of disappointed to see that there's a "factory" producing new works under his name now. Sounds just like V.C. Andrews!
