In January 2022, as part of our South Branch BooksTalks on Zoom, mystery fan Marcy G., from the Gere and South Branch Libraries, presented a talk on "Women Private Investigator Mysteries" -- featuring forty significant books or series that chronicle the presence of female private investigators throughout literary history, from 1864's "The Female Detective" by Andrew Forrester, to today's many contemporary and historical female sleuth series.
