During the Summer Reading Challenge in June and July 2022, the Gere Branch Library tried a book group experiment, with two sessions of Adult Storytime. Staff members from throughout the library system were present to give readings from some of their favorite library books. Those readings ranged from entire chapters of books, essays from larger collections, a scene from a play, gross illustrations with humorous commentary from a book parodying bad cookbooks, children's picture books, and more.
