Beyond the Deepwoods is about 13 year old Twig who dosen't seem to fit in woodtroll village. His adoptive woodtroll parents decide he should leave the village and travel to his great uncle's, but, lost in thought, Twig does the one thing a woodtroll never does -- he strays from the path.
