Mr. Mercedes
by Stephen King
As
Stephen King has been known to do in the past, he quickly got me hooked
on characters in this story; I could NOT put the book down until it was
finished. Bill Hodges is a retired cop, or "ret det", as he's called by
Brady Hartsfield. Brady was the one who killed and injured so many
people at the job fair when he ran them over with a stolen Mercedes. He
claims that'll be his last crime, but will it? When he writes to
Hodges--who retired with that crime unsolved--trying to goad him into
suicide, it's likely he actually believes the job fair incident was his
last crime. But will it be? -- recommended by Tracy T. - Bennett Martin Public Library
