The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones
by Cassandra Clare [YA Clare]
The book was really good. With the book being in a series, this being the first book, you could sense that there would be a love triangle in a later books without anything happening with it in the first. The ending was totally expected and made you want to read the series. -- review submitted by Taylor J. - a customer of the Gere Branch Library
The Book started with Clary (the main character) going into a club in
brooklyn. She sees a couple of kids and follows them. Whats peculiar is
that her best friend Simon doesn't seem to be able to see them. The kids
go into a small room and MURDER a boy with blue hair! Her experiences
only get wierder when a couple days later her mom calls her in a panic
sayihng not to come home no matter what. One of the kids that had killed
the boy at the club came and said they needed to talk. It turns out
there is a whole world out there that Clary's mom was a part of that
Clary herself was never aware of! The world of the Shadowhunters, or
demon-hunters. Now Clary has to learn all about this world she was
thrust into and try to save her mom from the evil Valentine. -- review submitted by Whitney L. - a customer of the Gere Branch Library
